Meet the team behind MESC Engineering
MESC Engineering is a professional engineering consultancy with Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria (RPEV) and Charted Professional Engineer (CPEng) accredited personnel. We specialise in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Control Engineering. MESC Engineering was started in 2019 and is a Sunshine Coast & Brisbane based, Australian owned, mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy. We are a small, family owned company that values our people and a great work life balance. We work throughout Queensland, Victoria and Northern New South Wales to deliver our clients the best results, combining both theoretical and technical expertise.
Tim Phillips

Tim is a highly experienced mechanical and electrical engineer with 13 years in the industry. He has worked across industries as diverse as transport, tunneling, mining, animal feed and industrial design. Tim has Honours Degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. He is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), Victoria (RPEV) and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).

Natasha Neal
Admin, Marketing and Accounts
Natasha keeps the financial and administration side of MESC Engineering running smoothly, as well as looking after all marketing activity. Natasha holds a BA Hons of Public Relations from Cheltenham University and has worked in a variety of marketing, communications and administration roles. Natasha works part-time alongside taking care of her son.

Steve Shi
Structural Engineer
Steve is an structural engineer with experience in industrial steel structures. He has degrees in Civil and Structural engineering. Currently, Steve is working towards Charted status as a professional engineer.

Joshua Glass
Junior Mechanical Engineer
Josh is an engineering student studying at the Queensland University of Technology. Specialising in mechatronics engineering, he has interdisciplinary knowledge of both mechanical and electrical engineering and has a keen interest in automation and control

Liam McNeill
Mechanical Engineer
Liam is a final year Mechanical Engineering student at QUT with growing experience in modelling and simulation. He has worked on projects involving finite element analysis, 3D modelling, and first principles calculations. Liam is particularly interested in applying engineering analysis to automotive and mining projects, with a focus on practical, real-world problem solving.
